First post!

Found a new WordPress theme. Not cheap, but great nonetheless. Here’s the scoop:

So what to write for a first post of a new blog? I thought about this for a while and just about came up blank until I thought I would write something that described my experience setting up this blog. I’m pretty computer literate but I didn’t want to sit down for hours and hours configuring the design of a blog.

So I searched my usual forums and search engines for a blog theme and I was pointed in the direction fo www.prophotoblogs.com. I think I clicked on only a couple of the example blogs and I was sold. The amount of detail and customization of this blog theme is incredible. If the developer’s vision was to create a blog that reduces the time a photographer has to commit to make an impressive looking blog, I’d say he achieved that easily.

I paid for and downloaded the theme by using PayPal and unzipped the contents of the downloaded file into my Themes directory in my WordPress blog directory. Once the files were unzipped, I went into my blog’s admin control panel and selected the ProPhoto2 theme and bam! Instant goodlooking blog.

Well… almost. I still needed to configure some settings and change the colors to match my home page but that took about 30 minutes when all said and done. I downloaded some other WordPress plugins to make backing up the site a bit easier and installed a pluggin that allowed me to use Gmail to send email. I couldn’t believe how easy this all was. ProPhotoBlogs, really out did themselves!
